"The King's Fool" - Oakwood Commode has been fully revamped by the vintage furniture artist Anik Boltz - Vintage Home and More. She is based in Beckerich - Luxembourg. The commode has been painted in a timeless teal heritage paint and has a unique découpaged face - sporting the King's Fool. He is a monkey jester designed to bring a touch of humour and make a memorable statement. The drawers are also a deep red, contrasting with the blue, bringing a touch of zing and surprise to the piece. Anik used 'Fusion Mineral Paint' to match the decoupage. She also used some products by 'Vintage Paint' for the blending, the stencil work and different waxes for the aged look. The structure has been made by using Saltwash powder.
Originally the commode was handmade by local carpenter based in Remich. Designed in 'traditional' style made in the 1970s.
This statement piece will add a touch of humour, whimsy and joy to any space.
